High-Risk Breast Cancer Screening in Oklahoma City

Proactive, Personalized Care for Those at Increased Risk

Premier Breast Health Institute offers enhanced evaluation and screening for people with an increased risk of breast cancer. The program combines risk assessment, advanced imaging and coordinated specialty support to help patients understand their risk and build a more personalized screening and risk-management plan.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Family History and Genetic Factors:

A strong family history of breast or ovarian cancer or a known high-risk gene mutation, such as BRCA1 or BRCA2, may support high-risk screening.

  • Elevated Risk Scores:

Validated risk models may be used to estimate lifetime breast cancer risk. A calculated lifetime risk of about 20% or greater often leads to consideration of high-risk screening protocols.

  • High-Risk Breast Biopsy Findings:

Certain biopsy findings, including atypical ductal hyperplasia or lobular carcinoma in situ, can increase breast cancer risk and may affect screening recommendations.

  • Dense Breast Tissue and Other Risk Factors:

Dense breast tissue combined with other risk factors, prior chest radiation or other significant history may also warrant a more individualized screening approach.

  • Additional Risk Factors:

If you have other risk factors, such as a history of radiation therapy to the chest, we can evaluate your eligibility.
